'The Unforeseen Children Of Olive Shipley' Readers Reviews

5.0 out of 5 stars: An emotional rollercoaster of an ending to a groundbreaking trilogy

"After following the author's work with interest, Pete Worrall does not disappoint with the last instalment in the trilogy.

Unlike some authors Pete has shied away from the nice tidy ending but delivered a work that will leave you emotionally drained but incredibly satisfied!
I don't want to say too much or give away spoilers but I promise that you will not be disappointed with The Unforseen.
Pete's writing style is as top notch as ever and he delivers everything you need.
Don't read alone. "

5.0 out of 5 stars: All the threads come together to make a tapestry

"All those questions that you were asking from the first two books in this three part series are answered here. Reading this book first will not make sense. You need the build up of tension, anger, loss, mystery and conflict that came with the first two books to feel that sense of satisfaction after an epic series.
The usual flashbacks and time overlapping story threads are here (Yes it feels natural to say 'usual' even though it only happens in the previous book -The Doom of the Hollow- because it's such an effective and cleverly done narrative method) to give that sense of unity to the characters as their individual threads come together in this tapestry.
If you have read the first two books then expect more of the same tension, anger, loss, etc etc all the way up to a final(?) conflict(s) and a twisted ending, but rest assured, as Morpheus says to Neo in 'The Matrix' -"The answers are coming".
We re-viisit old favourite(!!) locations and discover new ones, including a big set piece at Manchester Airport and spooky houses on 'The Eyes'. And yes, all are based real locations you can visit yourself to see where the inspiration came from.
A great finish to an epic work, at least seven years in the making."

5.0 out of 5 stars: An Excellent Trilogy

"I have now read all three of the trilogy. This is surprising in itself as I have never been a sci-fi fan. But through circumstances, I read the last book first and enjoyed it so much I was eager to read the first two as well. This did not spoil the plot at all, in fact it clarified a lot of the story, but I feel each book could stand alone. Pete writes in a very descriptive way so that you can feel and imagine the scene and tension. All the characters are believable and the fact that it is set in a real place, people who live aroung Warrington will no doubt recognise the landmarks and maybe feel a little uncomfortable when there. I really hope Pete will continue his writing and that many people will enjoy his books.

5.0 out of 5 stars: I loved the Eyes Trilogy and usually I don't pick up sci fi books

"I loved the Eyes Trilogy and usually I don't pick up sci fi books. All 3 books are real page turners and are hard to put down. Pete balances all the action and tension with some really down to earth, likeable characters who feel real and you really get to know and care for throughout. I would definitely recommend Pete's books."
